A nice motel.
8.0A clean, comfortable and modern motel. Our room was downstairs, mid way in, and very quiet. Our room was a good size with a huge bed. The mattress had that combination of being mid-firm but soft enough that we had a very good night’s sleep. The room was very well appointed, with everything you need including cutlery, plates, bowls etc so that you can do your own breakfast. The TV was a good size. There was a good size vanity to store your stuff and the hot water was very hot indeed. Unfortunately only a rain shower head which means your hair gets wet whether you want it to or not, even with a shower cap. A few improvements could assist such as a stainless steel kettle (plastic should not be used any more by anyone) and a strong magnet on the front door to hold it open. A bit of a paint and general smartening up would also assist.
Clean, Comfortably & Enjoyable.
8.0As someone who usually stays in the bush when they go rural, I wasn't expecting the overall quality and presentation of the motel as a whole. There are a few small gripes such as thin walls/floors, dusty extraction fans and roughly graded shower floors. But the overall presentation, cleanliness, quality & comfort are on par with my (self-proclaimed) high expectations. As previously mentioned the walls and floor/ceilings are rather thin & you can hear people talking in neighbouring rooms or walking past, foot steps from people above & water rushing through the pipes from the room above. However the overall noise level from the major road is next to nothing & I experienced no sleep disturbances during my multiple stays. I didn't try the food here as the costs on the menu for the mains where rather high and the town has plenty of options along the main drag (which is about a 5 minute drive). With all of this said I would gladly choose to come back here in the future as the cleanliness of the room and amenities are very high, the staff are friendly and helpful, & the rooms are vibey & comfortable. I would happily recommend this place to others looking for quality accommodation in the area.
