Gute Lage und Atmosphäre – der Zustand trübt den Gesamteindruck
7.0Besonders gefallen hat uns die hervorragende Lage der Unterkunft. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants waren bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Außerdem hat das alte Hotel mit seinem besonderen Charme und seiner authentischen Atmosphäre überzeugt.
− Leider merkt man deutlich, dass die Unterkunft in die Jahre gekommen ist. Viele Bereiche wirken renovierungsbedürftig und notwendige Reparaturen scheinen schon länger nicht mehr durchgeführt worden zu sein. Außerdem hatten wir bei der Reinigung unserer Wäsche den Eindruck, zu viel bezahlt zu haben. Für einen kleinen Beutel Wäsche wurden uns 60 Ringgit (ca. 13 €) berechnet, obwohl ursprünglich 15 Ringgit pro Kilogramm vereinbart waren. In über 20 Jahren Asienreisen haben wir für noch nie einen vergleichbar hohen Preis bezahlt. Ebenfalls unschön war, dass Matratzen vor den Zimmern auf dem Boden gelagert wurden und der hintere Bereich der Unterkunft offensichtlich als Abstellfläche genutzt wurde, was insgesamt einen ungepflegten Eindruck hinterließ.
Verblijf in een mooi huis in het rustige centrum van Georgetown
7.0Verblijf in een authentiek en sfeervol typisch Chinees huis. Mooi ingerichte benedenruimte, kamer (suite) ruim en netjes. Goede ligging in het centrum van Georgetown en toch in het rustige deel van de straat.
− Het verblijf dobbert tussen een hotel en guesthouse. Het is een huis (eigenares komt dagelijks langs) maar met een wat afstandelijkere hotelsfeer. Vooral het ontbijt (beperkt en dagelijks hetzelfde) was geen meevaller.
Geweldig leuke en authentieke plek om in Georgetown te verblijven. Unieke ervaring!

10.0Das Haus ist sehr schön, Lage perfekt, ich hatte ein ruhiges Zimmer weil nicht auf die Strasse. Aber das Haus liegt im hinteren Teil der Love Lane, da ist es eh ein bisschen ruhiger. Frühstück war sehr gut.
− WLAN könnte ein bisschen stärker sein im Zimmer

9.0It is a beautiful place to stay. Stunning and full of character. Ryan was always attentive and helpful throughout our stay and gave us good advice on where to eat and go. Love Lane is in the centre of things in "old" Georgetown.
