Wonderful Stay in Rome

What an amazing stay in Rome! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and helpful. They are quick to respond and go out of their way to ensure your needs are met! Would recommend!

Rome Revisit

I came back to Rome by myself after more than 50 years just to see what had changed. Well, Rome is still the eternal city and most changes were positive. I had purchased the trip via a consolidator, so I got great value. The location of Domus Liberius--right next to Santa Maria Maggiore--was a big part of the experience. The building creates a "Renaissance" atmosphere. Given the location, the place is very quiet, and it was very clean. I also felt safe because the security mechanisms were very elaborate. The room was small, but I did not need a lot of space because I was solo. The bathroom including the shower was well designed. The air condition worked. The staff was competent and friendly, but they go home after 14:00 h. One recommendation regarding amenities: the sockets of the electrical system could use an update.

Great location

Great location and clean rooms. The street can be a bit noisy when the window is open, but that’s expected in a big city and it didn’t bother me too much. Service was good, although at times I wasn’t sure whether I was interacting with a real person or an AI. Considering that the place feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, the price could be a bit lower.

Pleasant Stay, but Not a Full Hotel Experience

I recently stayed at Domus Liberius in Rome and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The directions provided to reach my room were straightforward and easy to follow. That said, I found the instructions at my hotel in Florence to be a bit better, as they included photos and were more detailed. Adding pictures to the arrival instructions could make the process even smoother for guests. I would also suggest providing complimentary bottled water in the room. It is a small and inexpensive gesture, but it goes a long way in making guests feel welcomed and showing hospitality. Overall, my room met my expectations and I had a comfortable stay. However, it felt more like a guesthouse or serviced accommodation than a traditional hotel experience, as there was no concierge or front desk staff available at all times. Despite that, it was a good stay and I would consider returning.

City Break

I booked this trip very last minute (the evening before) and from the moment I contacted the hotel, staff were very polite and responded promptly to any query I had. Andrew ensured everything was organised and we had our access keys prior to arriving, so any delay was avoided during our trip/ accessing the hotel room. When we arrived at reception, Cristina concisely explained the hotel facilities and showed us to our room. She also explained the city map and made recommendations of where to visit. We had one full day in Rome and the other two were spent travelling, however I appreciate Cristina’s useful insight as we saw many attractions. Although someone is physically present at reception for a period of time, the 24/7 digital reception has been very useful. Staff at this hotel are very kind and patient, our trip ran smoothly as any question was met with a timely response/ item requested. The hotel room is very clean. I looked under the bed when I dropped something and can say everything is cleaned. During the day the church bells can be heard, however it is a part of experiencing the city and was no inconvenience whatsoever. The hotel room (superior double) had a modern design and the entrance to the hotel was amusing because it’s unique (for me anyway). For the price, I believe the hotel, room, amenities etc were very reasonable because of convenience and everything else offered. This hotel couldn’t be in a more convenient location, walking distance from many attractions and as you can see from the photo I attached, one attraction is directly opposite. Shops and supermarkets, as well as a restaurant and gelato shop are all next door. I have attached the view from our room, however I mostly have videos so I’m unable to upload more :)
