Very disappointing. I think owners were experiencing problems but attitude unhelpful
1.0We had booked breakfast but when we tried to go to the dining room the outer door was locked. There were no staff around, so we left without breakfast. We didn’t receive any message to explain the situation.
− The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bin in the en-suite was full and hadn’t been emptied. The toilet bowl needed cleaning before we could use it and one of the drinking glasses provided was dirty. The noise from the bar was very loud.

Nice hotel with great staff and friendly locals
8.0Located in a quiet village, it is close to our daughters so convenient and we have stayed before. The staff and locals in the bar are very friendly. Parking is easy Hotel rooms and bathroom are spotlessly clean, the bed was not so comfortable and quite small but adequate for one night. The bathroom is across the hall but the rooms have toilet and sink so no great hardship.

8.0Quiet, comfortable, clean and close to Agricultural Centre (where my cat show was being held).
− This time, breakfast wasn't available. Cook was ill but I think I was the only person needing breakfast so I wasn't surprised or too bothered by this.
An honest local pub. Clean but basic small room. Friendly and helpful. Good food.

− I had precooked dinner with a time and a food choice, as requested via a Booking.com message a few days earlier. The manager had no knowledge of that - but did produce excellent fish and chips so all was well in the end.
