Very rude managers! Go elsewhere!
3.0Great location, clean, tidy, quiet.
− The managers were VERY unfriendly, unwelcoming, difficult to talk to and just plain rude. We rang when we were 2hrs away to let them know we would be arriving at 8:30pm instead of 7-7:30pm as previously expected. The man on the phone was very short and sounded grumpy, even though he could have just left the key in the lock box or the cabin like other parks do when we check in late. Even though we had warned them, they didnt seem prepared when I knocked on the door at reception. I got a grumpy, sharp "can you shut the door!" when i didnt immediately close the door behind me (it wasnt cold out, nor windy!). He then didnt say a word to me, mumbled something about booking.com and then started searching for keys to the cabin, like I was a late drop in last minute booking! Ended up giving me spare keys! When asked to park the work trailer for the first night (the next two night the trailer was going to be staying at the job site) they managers said no I would have to park on the street, no room in the park!! (it is a CARAVAN park by the way!). Since I carry expensive equipment I opted to drive out of town at 9pm at night, with my very cranky and tired 1yo and drop the trailer at the job site which was secure. Upon return, exhausted after a very long drive, we find a basically EMPTY caravan section as well as a large grassy area behind our cabin where the trailer would have fitted perfectly. So when I drive back to the park the next night after a very long day working, how surprised you might imagine I was when the occupants of the cabin next door were parked up with their great big HORSE FLOAT!!! Surprised and VERY annoyed! Lots more to add but have run out of space to type! Wont be coming back! I travel to Hamilton several times a year so they have lost a bit of business here and the organisers of my trips there wont be recommending this park to other professionals that they organise to come visit unless I guess the park in under new management in the future!
