We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Treetop Cottage at Countisbury Lodge. Nick and Jo were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. On our last day, Nick even kindly offered to help us carry our suitcases back to the car, which was such a thoughtful touch. We have been Booking.com customers for many years, but we have never experienced such genuine hospitality and friendliness before. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly special—there was even a personalised message on a board prepared just for us! The location is fantastic—only about a 10-minute walk to the town centre, where you’ll find plenty of great places to eat and drink. There’s also a beautiful river just 7 minutes away, which adds a magical feel to the surroundings. The stunning views from the cottage made our holiday unforgettable. The cottage itself is perfectly equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bedrooms, as well as the bathroom, are very comfortable and well-maintained. Every room is beautifully designed, with charming octopus-themed artwork and a unique style that really stands out—truly outstanding attention to detail. This has been our best Booking.com experience so far. Highly recommended—well done, Nick and Jo!

Lovely location, very clean & tidy.

− Access was difficult via steep steps, not sure why you couldn’t access from the other road as would have made unpacking better. There is no garden. Would have been great to have milk instead of fizzy drinks as nearest convenience store isn’t near.

Absolutamente todo: las vistas, el apartamento en general, la limpieza, la decoración, la amplitud, la excelente atención por parte de los propietarios, cercana y amable. Una extraordinaria elección por nuestra parte para conocer Lynton, Lynmouth y el Norte del Consado de Devon.

− El acceso aunque parecía algo complicado al principio, para nosotros resultó un plus de positividad, ya que nos permitió estar tranquilos en un entorno maravilloso a la vez que cercano pues a pocos minutos a pie, podíamos llegar al coqueto pueblo de Lynmouth.

The property offers a home from home experience with stunning views. The hosts Jo and Nick are really helpful when needed. It's location is near to lots of lovely walks with the dogs. Of course the coast is five minutes away with plenty of walks there too.
