Very enjoyable stay
8.0A very nice hotel in a beautiful area. We combined a 1 night stay with a dinner function that the hotel had advertised. The food at the Seafood Dinner was excellent. The only "issue" was that there was so much! We stayed in a suite (the only available room on the night we booked for) which was spacious and comfortable. No slippers or robes though, which suites in hotels like this often provde. The countryside around is stunning and we are keen to come back.

8.0Lovely historic building and grounds in a peaceful location. The restaurant food is excellent and very good value for money. The tudor main hall with a gallery is very impressive. The staff were professional and accommodating. The only thing I found a little odd is the bedroom and corridor decor which isn't in keeping with the rest of the building and in need of some refurbishment especially the carpet. However this would not stop me returning or recommending this hotel.
