Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choices. Room was lovely and big. Very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

− The shower control was stiff and the cover for the waste was loose. However there was plenty of hot water. Parking is an issue although we were lucky to find a space.

− Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und im Bad war der Abfluss mit Haaren verschmutzt.

The location by the sea. The staff & breakfast was good.

− Very old hotel, over 130 years old. The present owners have neglected the property. A lot need doing & renovating, but they are leaving it for the new owners to handle. Booked harbour view room, but couldn’t see any harbour or water, could only see roof tops. On first morning, my wife, who’s disabled, got burnt while having shower because when she turned the shower on, the water was very hot, she tried turning the temperature knob, but it was so stiff that she couldn’t turn it & also couldn’t jump out of shower due to her mobility issues , so got burnt. I have strong hands, even I found it so hard to turn the knobs. The rail that was put inside shower, was a sticky one, not screwed, it came out & fell on the floor, when my wife tried to grab it. She just got saved from having a very nasty accident. Also the sink was moving & was about to fall down. Then, in the evening when we came back to the hotel, we were told that the lift wasn’t working & the engineer was coming in half an hour to fix it, so we had to wait in the restaurant area. After waiting for more than an hour we were then told by the receptionist that engineer would taker even longer to come. We were so tired & were waiting on a filthy broken sofa, which looked like never been used for a long time, just for lift to be fixed. We then found out that the hotel doesn’t even have the fire evacuation chair, which is against the fire regulations. When we had no other way or place to spend the night, we had to decide to dump the holiday & drive back home to Coventry, which took us nearly 6 hours & we arrived back home around 4am. This hotel is filthy, there was no staff in the spa area, the floor was wet & dirty, anybody could easily slip & hurt themselves. Don’t get fooled like us that it’s a very quality 4* hotel, like it was seen in some videos on youtube. It isn’t. Avoid it.
