7.0Nice clean hotel, the lodge cabins at the back was absolutely lovely! Staff was great, will definitely be back. Over all everything was great!
− That the bed was really squeaky, every time I turned over or got up for toilet the bed would squeak & im pritty sure there was two single mattresses instead of a double mattress for double bed.
Lovely hotel and would stay again

− I didn’t see a lift, so had to carry the suitcase up the stairs. Only one flight though. Reception is not 24hours. 8-11. Not a bad thing but need to be aware if leaving early / arriving late etc.

6.0It had character and dedicated dog-friendly rooms which was good for us. It was very quiet and the beds were comfortable so we slept well.
− It wasn’t very clean - we think the cleaner rushed because they were running late and didn’t clean the toilet or bathroom sink properly and the floor was a bit dirty as well…bathroom robes also smelled.
Great promise that was certainly not delivered.
5.0It was somewhere to stay with access to The Gower Peninsula.
− The ensuite window would not open and they were indifferent about it and nothing was done. The menu promised excellent fayre but the reality was more than disappointing. My pork wellington was pre-sliced and looked very old and dry. The mustard mash contained at least 50% mustard and was inedible. Despite my expressing disappointment no-one apologised or showed concern. On our return I emailed the hotel regarding our experience. I received no reply. I cannot recommend The New Gower Hotel at all.
