9.0Great location just round the corner from the train station and ferry terminal to Rottnest island. We weren't able to try the breakfast as we were out early the first day and the second day we were given a voucher for a cafe round the corner ($15 each) as they couldn't provide breakfast in the property, which was a nice compromise. Very comfy bed and on Sunday night the jazz bar on the corner has live music until around 10pm which sounded great from the window, it's an otherwise quiet side street.
− Property seems to be managed remotely so when we arrived 2 hours before checkin hoping to atleast drop our suitcases there was no one there, we tried the phone number provided and got no answer. We recieved a message an hour later with check in instructions and how to open the electric door lock and checked ourselves in no issue. It wasn't much of a problem for us as there are plenty of cafes around but just something to be aware of when booking. They seem to reply to messages within a few hours so if you think you'll be early definetly message in advance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

9.0I loved the location and in the heart of the university precinct. The building has character. Close to shops for dining and groceries.
− No washing machine and dryer. Stairs can pose a problem with large suitcases.

8.0Location is fabulous. Room is lovely and beds comfortable.
− It is an old building but could do with a good clean. Walls have damp in several places that really need to be managed. Bathroom and other parts just need a good deep clean. Cups needed a clean. Need a non-slip mat in the bath for the shower - bath is high and shower very slippery. Communication was not great. I contacted a few times with queries and didn't get response at all to some and not until next day for others. I could have phoned but generally find messaging has a quick response but not in this case.
