2.0The staff wake you up by phoning you at midday if you have the do not disturb sign on. I find this bizarre
Don’t stay here if you enjoy sleep
2.0The hotel had a ludicrous policy that if your Privacy sign is on the door after midday they will phone you to wake you up to ask if you want housekeeping. So don’t expect to have a good sleep after midday if you’re jet lagged. I reported this on the first day and was told it was hotel policy to check that you’re OK. I assured them that I was jet lagged, not dead, and could they not phone me at midday if I was sleeping. They said that they would put a note on their computer but exactly the same thing happened the next day. I can understand hotels being concerned if you’re missing for days on end but I have never before stayed in a hotel that assumes you might be dead if you sleep after midday. It is beyond parody that they will phone you to take you up because they can’t knock the door because the privacy sign is on.
