6.0L’emplacement
− Pas d’eau chaude, le deuxième lit d’une place n’était pas confortable. Pas de serviette. J’ai effectué deux réservations et les règles changent à chaque fois (des fois il faut donner une caution de 10$)
our stay fit the price tag.Wailoaloa beach is more of a location to watch the sunset and have dinner
6.0Bamboo backpackers is in a great location down at Wailoaloa beach, just one street off the sand. For us it was just a quick stop before flying out after our holiday down on the coral coast. It was cheap and simple, and if that's all you need then it is perfect. There is no food or facilities at the backpackers itself, but given the area, there are plenty of other options for that within an easy walk, and you can sign up for activities easily at the neighboring larger hotels. I won't say there weren't any issues -The staff lost the key to one of our rooms and had to move us to another, and also had to go and fetch some blankets from another hotel when we checked in as they had run out, but the staff were friendly and accommodating, and given the price tag, we got something pretty much as we expected. We felt safe travelling with kids, although the doors and locks felt flimsy if you are particularly sensitive to those sort of things.
− there were a large group of backpackers while we were there, which meant that shared areas got a bit messy, and not cleaned often enough through the day to keep it clean. The showers were very low pressure, and our double bunk room was really only just a place to sleep and nothing more. doors and locks felt bit flimsy as mentioned above, but weren't a concern for us.
ok for price but very basic
5.0good position, and cheap enough, the rooms were as clean as they could be considering age and being old. staff were friendly
− there wasnt hot water for the showers, not the worst thing in the climate but they should look into that.

6.0We stayed at Bamboo Travellers twice, on two separate occasions, for one night each time. We booked a private room with an ensuite bathroom through Booking.com, and the staff were always very quick and helpful when replying to our messages. We later found a better deal at Sailors, just a street away, but could only stay there for one night because our booking with Bamboo Travellers was non-refundable. Before arriving, we had read reviews mentioning bed bugs, so we were a little worried and thoroughly inspected the beds and room. Fortunately, we didn’t have any issues at all during either stay. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. During our second stay, the lady who checked us in was especially lovely. The rest of the reception staff were fine, but nothing particularly stood out. One downside was the noise. It’s quite loud, especially on weekends, and we were woken up several times during the night. Another disappointment was the hot water,it was never really hot, just lukewarm. The location is convenient, but apart from that, there’s nothing particularly special about the property.
