7.0Given the French heat wave, we had to check-out of our booked accommodation for want of air conditioning. The Hotel de Paris is fully air conditioned, immaculately clean and the staff were first-class. Friendly and helpful whenever needed.
− Unfortunately, the heatwave affected the hotel lift, which was out of order for two thirds of our stay. This was difficult for my wife, who has mobility problems.. However, the staff put us on the first floor, which was a great help.

− The approach to the hotel is not that inviting. Area seems a bit run down. However, hotel is very good.
I will never, ever stay in another Ibis/Best Western hotel again.
3.0The staff was very pleasant and friendly
− The so-called "air conditioning" was so poor and ineffective that if we hadn't packed a fan to use we probably would have roasted to death. On the second day the toilet could no longer be flushed. The manager proposed we use the room next door, only informing us it would cost an extra €50- after we had moved all of our things. We strongly suspect the malfunctioning toilet was a ruse to move us into a more expensive room.
