10.0A really nice hotel rooms are modern large and clean with nice views. Staff are all very nice. The menu was a bit limited but beautiful food.

Amazing side road gem to rest with delicious food
10.0Such a nice little gem outside of London as a stop if you’re travelling through or a base if you’re exploring the eastern countryside. The food was particularly delicious and the generous portion sizes will not leave anyone disappointed. We endeavour to return :)
It's not in Colchester Town.
8.0As the hotel location information (map and local access info) was about the King's Arms in Colchester town on the Hotels.com website, I initially went there where I was told that I was at a wrong King's Arms and that they did not have any rooms. The King's Arms I had booked turned out to be the one 40-minute bus ride away from Colchester town. The correct King's Arms was a nice place to stay offering great food. My room was fine in size and very clean but adjusting the shower was a little tricky and there was nowhere to hang/put my clothes. And the pub guests talked just outside my room occasionally during the night--was not too bad as the pub closes at 10pm.
