Great location, nice unit
5.0Wonderful location close to cafes, restaurants and the beach, good sized apartment with cooking and laundry facilities, comfortable bed, secure undercover carpark.
− Lack of maintenance in apartment no. 104: the 'flap' on the A/C unit couldn't be adjusted and then fell off. There was a constant smell of cigarette smoke, day and night, through the bedroom and into the living area. We found that the latches on the window in the bedroom had seized shut but left a small breezeway which allowed smoke from the adjoining balcony to come in. We told reception about the smoke smell and they said it was out of their control because unit 103 wasn't rented through them. We took advantage of Sandcastle's offer of 10% discount at a local restaurant only to find when paying the bill that the restaurant doesn't honour the discount.

8.0The location was fabulous - it came with parking which was great - it was tidy and the staff were nice.
− You could hear the resident above as we were on level 1 and the outside street noise. Nothing that can be done about either and didn’t impact us too much but if you are sensitive to noise it is worth noting. Also the sheets didn’t quite cover the bed - or it was the way it was made. The couch in the lounge was very uncomfortable. Other than those small things it was actually very decent for the location.
