No rooms ready on time
2.0Arrived yesterday afternoon a little early 2pm asked for early check was told not available no rooms ready till 3pm. Told to wait in the bar which we did. Came down at 3 pm reception packed and was told rooms not ready lots of people waiting and no explanation other that rooms are not ready and that they had no idea when they would be ready. Lots of frustrated people waiting. Eventually receptionist offered everyone a free drink in the bar and to come down in an hour to see if rooms were ready. Said she will see if the manager can authorise discount for everyone due to the wait (still waiting for this) eventually checked in at 830pm room was filthy bathroom smelt like we. We had a pitch room, could not see the pitch through thickness of dirt on windows (this is supposed to be the selling point) beds not comfy and thin pillows. Aircon heater not working. Was supposed to be £122 for the night it was worth about £22. I would like the discount as promised to myself and everyone else there that night. Also heard the receptionist say it was the same the day before with no rooms ready, is this a common problem? Positives bar is lovely and staff friendly there. Would not stay here again or recommend it.

− Room a little bit jaded. Could do with refresh paint etc. No valance around the bottom of bed, definately needed as bed base worn and stained. Shower screen inadequate.

− No water in the room, id expect a bottle of water to be provided for the price paid.. woke up in the morning absolutely gasping for a drink but no water and no glasses to get a drink from the tap either, a small change that would have made a huge difference Also no TV remote in the room Shower nob was broken
Good to know
Due to the EFL and FA guidelines, we must request that all guests staying in our Superior Room with Pitch View close their curtains 90 minutes prior to a home football match and throughout the remaining time of the game. Any tickets must be purchased separately if you would like to watch the match.
