Cosy room. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Gorgeous surroundings
10.0
A great place to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of the lake.
7.0The location next to the lake was a real treat and we enjoyed a great short walk along the shore. We had wildlife encounters with possums, cockatoos, kookaburras and currawongs. The cabin was small and modern with a fabulous bed and good heating. Water was hot and plentiful. The walk to the main lodge was easy but very cold mid-July! Lodge staff were hospitable. Our dinner in the lodge was delicious.
− Some external maintenance was needed with outdoor solar lighting not working. The verandah was covered in leaves and twigs which were wet and slippery despite the non-slip ‘chicken wire’ covering. We had afternoon snacks and beverages with us but no wineglasses, cutlery or plates were available in kitchenette, so we cut our cheese with teaspoon!
A lovely iconic place to stay
8.0The location and the actual accommodation are excellent. Its quiet at this time of year (June) which we prefer and we enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather.
− The restaurant offerings were limited (understandable for the time of year I guess) and expensive for what we were served up.
Calm and restful stay
8.0Need to supply a blanket as some do not like heaters running all the time
− Dinner was lovely main- sweets disappointing Breakfast service slow they were not busy
Unhappy at the lodge
5.0The walks were spectacular.
− The rooms were very expensive and not value for money. We stayed at the lodge for 4 days and the restaurant had a very limiting menu. The restaurant was freezing in the morning. The heaters were not on and we had to sit there in our coats. The rooms could have had crockery, cutlery and a microwave. The lodge did not have a lounge area so you were stuck in the room. Internet was available outside the rooms but not in the rooms. Totally dissatisfied.
