The reception didn’t know what day it was! So there was no breakfast served because it wasn’t Saturday tomorrow. I told her tomorrow is Friday. Coffee cups in room were dirty. They still had tried coffee on the rim. The carpets on the stairs were dirty. We called down to reception on the phone in the room after settling into our room to ask about wifi but there was no answer. Terrible service & crappy room. Dirty hotel.

VERY disappointing experience! 1:the actual stay at the hotel and 2:the fact that my Tripadvisor review was not shown.

Will never recommend this place or stay there again. It was dirty, people at the front desk not very friendly (I can deal with that) but what was really strange is that I posted about this right after our stay and nothing showed. This place actually has a 4 star rating which it should not by any means. We actually cut our visit short because we got so grossed out. Bathroom was dirty, hardly could sit on the toilet because it was so close to the tub. Wallpaper peeling of the walls. Carpets in the hallway had dirt on it when we got there and nobody cleaned it up. The people working at the front desk were never there or sat around in their “office”. When we arrived no info was voluntarily given about the place. Our mistake was that we should have left right away but we were so tired. Only good thing was the nice ladies in the restaurant which I heard the food was pretty good. Talked to locals about it and they all said the place had a bad reputation and were surprised we were staying there. Next time definitely will not stay at the Privateers again!! I very seldom give bad reviews but I want to warn other travellers!

Overall I cant say the room was clean but could use more of through cleaning and tidiness. Staff were friendly and helpful.
