10.0Transferred to boundary court motel. Very good thanks
Very good for one night stay
6.0Very good for one night stay. Handy to all amenities.
Walked in and walked right back out
2.0This place is awful. Room was so old and scabby. Stink of rotten BO armpits. It also has permanent housing NZ families living here. People sitting outside on plastic chairs smoking. Looks like a horrible old block of council flats. We have never walked out of a hotel before as we aren't fussy but didn't want my kids staying in a place that probably would test positive for meth.
Not recommended for travellers
2.0Price is too high for a hotel with rot in shower area and blankets not warm enough. Our booking check-in experience was very unpleasant. We had two consecutive bookings but owner insisted on payment up-front for second booking which was not due according to Expedia rules. After the owner spoke with Expedia who instructed him to do a pre-auth on credit card for the second booking, he refused to do so. He insisted on immediate payment, or for us to checkout at 10am and then re-checking at 2pm to the same room despite knowing how inconvenient it would be for us. The owner was totally unhelpful. He said that us checking out was according to procedure - we had no choice but to make payment or risk our luggage being removed from our room. The owner then asked if he would be able to not follow his service obligations to service our room daily - in the same breath that he was going to follow procedure and make us leave in-between two consecutive stays. Our stay was a very upsetting experience.
Overpriced and rundown
4.0Paid $295 for a 2 bedroom unit which has obviously never been updated since built. Holes in wall had been partially repaired but not repainted in bathroom. Very dingy. Presumably price hiked up to reflect Field Days and Chiefs v Wales game which was on in town at the time. Beds old and uncomfortable. Staff were pleasant but place very much in need of a spruce up. Only book it if you must and you get a good price. Was very happy was only there one night.
Pretty Average
4.0Whilst just one night and not too concerned with the facilities as checking in late and checking out early it is not really a great place to stay. On arriving was informed as we had two cars that I would have to pay another $10. I stated that I would not pay this as the Motel was not full and it was not something I would accept - he changed his mind. Room was clean but not one but three power plugs broken and taped over so no one could use them - so a conscious decision not to repair things by management ....... says it all Room was nice and clean but my personal hate was the sign saying "Please ensure ALL plates and cutlery is cleaned and placed back in the cupboard". At $120 nearly a night I do not expect to clean my own plates, it is not a hostel !
