An amazing family weekend away, thoroughly enjoyed by parents and teens alike!
9.0We stayed in the large cottage for the first time, and it was both spacious and very clean. The layout is very similar to the other rooms, but with a family of 5, we appreciated the extra space. We had a dishwasher, stove, large fridge/freezer, and even a washing machine (not used, but nice if we'd needed it!). The beds were comfortable, pillows were awesome, the accommodation was lovely and warm on a cool winter's night, and our private balcony had a great view of the premises. The kids loved the jumping mat and outdoor play area (and they're all teenagers!), and we had a fabulous BBQ while staying there. The location is perfect: close enough to the city to be really convenient, but far enough away to feel almost like camping!
− Only a couple small things that would've made the stay even better: the TV had a built-in DVD player, but it was a shame it wasn't Blu-ray (most of our collection is on Blu-ray, but we did bring along a few DVDs). The television reception was so-so; I think we only got Channel 9 and, possibly, one other channel. Luckily we brought a board game, so TV was not really an issue. And--this might be the weird gripe--there were heaps of pepper sachets, but not much in the way of salt. Probably not intentional, and I'm sure they'd have given us more if we'd asked, but we didn't bother. No points deducted for our failure to correct the situation. Otherwise, everything was great! The road noise wasn't too bad, but there were moments when drivers were showing off a little too hard with their loud engines.
