A perfect place to stay when visiting Norwich within easy walking distance of the city centre.
10.0A very good-sized room with a comfortable double bed and large bathroom. The breakfast menu was great and the helpings enormous. Very friendly staff and fantastic value for money. There was even a fridge in the room and, what always helps with giving an excellent review - a box of tissues!
− For the price, I doubt it could have been improved on.

8.0Friendly staff, a clean room with tea and coffee. A good choice of breakfast options with some gluten-free options (bread and cereal). The hotel is a pleasant 5 walk away from the lovely Red Lion pub which sits by the river. (Great hill to help with digestion on the way back!)
We chose to cut our losses and leave early. The hotel was extremely poor value for money.

− We arrived for a three night stay, but left less than 24 hours later. The room was very disappointing. The furniture was of very poor quality. There was no chest of drawers, merely a bedside table with three small drawers - one leg of which fell off. The "wardrobe" was simply a carcass with 4 coat hangers and was situated right beside the toilet in the bathroom. The room felt more like one you would find in a hostel rather than a hotel room. Despite complaining via booking.com, we have received no response. There were no redeeming features to our short stay.
Comfortable room and very friendly staff.
8.0The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and there was a good quality coffee machine in the room. The decoration was tasteful abd in good condition. It was very quiet at night.
− The room was a good size but a bit dark, with the windows blocked by a roof. The pub itself wasn't as smart as the bedroom and might have been noisy earlier on, but we were out all evening so that didn't matter to us.
Nice Overnight Stop Off
8.0W IV Was a nice pub to stay in. The staff were friendly on arrival and during our short stay. Great tea / coffee facilities. Breakfast was very nice.
− The accomodation was great for an overnight stay but a bit basic for a longer stay. The rooms could do with a spring clean and unpkdate

− Fair old walk up the hill to the premises but ended up with a taxi !
