Great old school motel. Clean and friendly.
9.0The Willard Munger Inn is an old school motel that is just what you would expect: clean with a friendly and helpful owner. I stayed at the end of May and the 250th USA anniversary decorations were just getting started. The owner told me about his plans and if I lived closer I would have loved to have seen them when they were complete. It is very close to the Zoo and they offer a free day pass.
− My room was small and clean. Since I was only there while I was sleeping, the size was not a problem for me. If you want to be close to Canal Park, the Willard Munger is about a 5 miles away so you will need to drive.
What a welcome to Duluth and a treat to be welcomed by the owner, who really cares for this property
10.0It was lovely to visit a non-corporate property and to be welcomed by the owner, and definitely the "Minnesota nice" experience I was hoping for. I loved my very large room with all the space I could want, and a private little back patio!!
− I struggled a little with the heating/air conditioning but that's typical for me when every hotel is different.

3.0Rooms are small but comfortable, It had a larger fridge which I appreciate so I can bring my own food. My room had deck access out the back.
− Parking is tight. I had to pay extra for a private bathroom and there was no hot water. And someone kept trying the handle of my door to the deck.
