sketchy hotel
2.0I made a reservation about two weeks ago, but the staff ignored my messages until I CC'd the general manager. As soon as I stopped including the general manager in my requests, the staff stopped responding again. Additionally, they sent me a letter demanding that I pay cash for my stay, even though I booked through the official website using my card. This situation makes the hotel feel sketchy. I have already informed my credit card company to be prepared in case they attempt to charge my account without authorization.
Severe incident - falling roof
2.0The hotel is decent looking from outside in a good location. We stayed room no 408 and 409 with our family for two nights last week from 22/10 to 24/10 . We have got one room upgrade from studio to one bedroom apartment . Things were so good till that time . The room service operator was pathetic , very difficult to make him understand what we want . We got some omelettes after 45 minutes , one cutlery for four plates . Food was ordinary , immensely overpriced. Breakfast spread was good but badly managed . One big guy looks like a supervisor busy with his social media on smartphone and two girls trying their best to take care of many people but they were not enough . Coffe machine as usual malfunnctioned . He real incident happened on 24th morning , roof of one washroom suddenly fell on my daughter, she was in shock . We run to other room and saw whole roof was about to collapse. It could have been lot worse accident . The reaction from the hotel was slow and indifferent Never experience roof is falling on guest’s head . During check out , reception offered some free cakes from coffe shop as compensation! Such a joke . Its an old run down property , better to avoid . Plenty options in Abu Dhabi . .

10.0🇺🇸 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at Grand Mercure Majlis Residences and had a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Ilham and Thet Zarni at reception — both were friendly, professional, and very helpful. They made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
