Lovely hotel, worth stopping for if on a long journey
10.0I arrived late so didn't eat but lots of content looking people were leaving... I had a couple of beers from the well stocked bar. Downstairs is quite traditional but the rooms are very modern with air con, walk in showers and more
Gastronomische verwennerij op prachtige locatie
9.0Chef de cuisine Arturo Dalhuisen en zijn team koken de sterren van de hemel! Wij hebben in tijden niet zo heerlijk gegeten. Mooi menu met goede opbouw, prettige portie-grootte en krachtige smaken. Veel lokale producten gebruikt. Het zag er schitterend uit. Ook de wijnen die erbij werden geserveerd vielen bij ons in de smaak. Onze hotelkamer was niet groot maar wel compleet uitgerust.
− Het restaurantpersoneel liet af en toe wat steekjes vallen. We moesten 3 x zeggen dat we alleen het zesgangendiner + bijpassende halve glazen wijn wensten. Daar maakten ze telkens het all-in menu met halve glazen van, maar dat is iets anders. De wijn voor de 4e gang werd al geserveerd en toegelicht voordat het 3e gerechtje werd geserveerd. Aan de tafel naast ons kreeg één persoon koffie + dessert, de rest moest daar erg lang op wachten (2 x "er wordt aan gewerkt, het komt er zó aan"). Uiteindelijk kwamen de desserts tegelijk met de rekening waar ze intussen al om hadden gevraagd. Toen het begon te regenen verhuisden alle gasten naar binnen. Het duurde even voordat er voor alle dinergasten een tafeltje was gevonden. Kan allemaal gebeuren, en het heeft onze avond niet negatief beïnvloed, maar het viel op doordat het eten juist zo geweldig was. Door dat laatste komen wij vast nog een keer terug (vanuit Utrecht).
Een sfeervol hotel met een hartelijke ontvangst inclusief een voortreffelijke keuke zorgt ervoor dat we graag nog eens

− Dat van de twee maanden tevoren besproken/beloofde twee kamers aan de achterzijde, één ervan op de middag van aankomst aan een andere gast was gegeven. Niet netjes!
Ons verblijf was prima!
