Awesome cabin, great restaurant, comfy beds and couches,fireplace helped keep the place warm, balconies had excellent view of the lake, basement was a little cold but other than that great, full kitchen with a sprayer in the sink with excellent water pressure. Gas stove. Was nice that it has its own water heater, wifi router, and central heat/ air, full size fridge, firepit and grill, fully furnished. Better options at the convenience store/ office. The wood floor of the cabin could have used a good cleaning. Also would have been nice had the cabinets in the kitchen been organized. Also would be nicer if had a way to park without risking the vehicles radiator like a windbreak or some kind of vehicle shelter so that the air off the lake wouldn't freeze up the vehicle.

Cool campground

I took a chance staying here since I knew nothing about the place. I'm glad I did! The resort is basically a campground on the lake with cabins and a lodge house. The lodge house is two-story, facing the lake, and has rooms similar to a hotel, except with much better views. One downside was that my room did not have soap or shampoo...not sure if that was an oversight or if guests are expected to bring their own. I will definitely return when I stay in the area.

Our original goal was to be within a two hour drive of the solar eclipse on 8/21/2017 and have a place that would accommodate our two dogs. When viewing options this jumped out at us! A beautiful cabin at a resort within our two hour drive requirement. What we didn't know is that we would fall in love with this place. The entire resort has a wonderful layout for those arriving by car or RV. The lake is absolutely beautiful. The layout of the cabin itself was perfect. Our 25 year old son loved the private loft area with soaring ceilings allowing him to stand up and walk around...not expected! Trees surrounded our cabin and made us feel at home in the woods. The staff was excellent and from the moment we booked our stay we received a welcome email asking...they wanted to make sure they were ready for us and our needs. The eclipse, perhaps a once in a lifetime event, lead us to a place we plan on returning to often! Perhaps we'll select a cabin on the lake next time or take advantage of the largest man-made lake in Kansas. Oh...the Cove Restaurant was the perfect place to have dinner...on the lake! Thank you!

Awesome lake resort

This was our first time to visit Milford Lake and Acorn Resorts. We booked a lodge room for two nights and were thrilled to find that we were just a short walk to the lake. We were able to sit on our balcony and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. The accomodations had a rustic and lake feel making it the perfect getaway for us. The staff at check-in and when I called for information and directions were very accomodating and welcoming. We felt like valued friends and family and loved our stay and the lake. The restaurant was a nice break after a long drive with wonderful views and delicious food. We will definitely be booking this resort again. Don't expect 5 star accomodations but for a lake cabin/resort it was awesome. Only complaint goes to Hotels.com for the photo used when booking. The photo shows a stand alone cabin although in the fine print it does say a lodge room. This was rather confusing and misleading. The photo needs to be updated to show the actual lodge and lodge rooms.

The resort employees were very nice & helpful. The room was clean, comfortable & nice size. Nice lake view. The Cove Bar/Grill is on the property and is nice and good food. Would stay again.
