1.0− The sink is separate from the bathroom , in the main room to the side. No fan working in bathroom to remove steam from shower. The shower floor is tilted toward the drain & very slippery when using soap or shampoo in shower. The shower is half covered on end near shower head to block water , the rest has no glass or curtain to stop water from spraying onto floor. Really need to hold onto grab bars to prevent a fall hazard due to level of floor. The bathroom door ketch has no attachment in the door jam, a blank hole knocked into the wood so the door can close. No standard size pillows on the bed, four sofa size pillows to manage a nights sleep! The curtains in the room couldn’t be closed to block out the light, just a shear closed to meet in centre of window. We went to the front desk shortly after checkin & informed the guy about the fan & pillows. He checked the fan in the room adjacent to the one we were in & that fan wasn’t working either & same small pillows on the bed. I know this because we went with him to verify! He asked if the fan issue was urgent? I said it would be nice if the fan was working because yes, we both would like to take a shower. He said he would let maintenance know in the morning because they aren’t in right now. Same sob story in the am at checkout. I’ve stayed at several hotels in St. John’s with the same fan issue, not sure how these hotels are even allowed to operate under these conditions, especially in summer season?. The fan issue, curtains, pillows, door closure & shower safety are very concerning & of low quality. I certainly would say the rate of $263.35 per night is definitely WAY over priced and would not recommend to anyone! I noted to the lady on checkout when asked how our stay was, it was Disappoiniting. We both know the fan just didn’t stop working, it hasn’t been for some time. Would love to see the log sheet for maintenance when that was checked last!
