6.0Went to check in at 9pm — office locked. Knocked — no answer! Had to call, then man was surprised that he had another check-in as they were sold out! Lady comes and wants ID without telling me that there was actually a room — since I was told that they were sold out, I kind of had an attitude and wasn’t quick with the ID. I had to ask if there was actually a room or not — she then tells me there is one but it is upstairs. The room was way overpriced, but we had been driving for a lot of hours and needed a place to stay. The bed had no box springs, and mattress was on boards sitting very low in a sleigh bed frame. The bedroom TV did not work! An extension cord was laying across the floor to the TV — very easily could have tripped on it as it was not taped or fastened down. Stairs were not safe, as the boards are pretty old and many steps were chipped out where they are nailed or screwed in to the sides. It’s a large room with a living room & a bedroom, but the living room only has one chair — sure would have been nice to have another chair to sit on!! Fridge is a small dorm-size fridge that is tucked into the back of a closet where a rollaway bed is stored! No idea about an ice machine — it wasn’t mentioned to me and I was too tired to deal with it….besides, I was informed that I only had until 10pm to let them know if I needed anything. I realize this is a small town, family owned motel, but as paying guests, make us feel like we are appreciated guests!!

No AC or Fan
2.0We ended up finding a different room once we checked in. There was no AC no fan and room smelled just like weed which someone left some on top of the fridge. When asked about ac or fan lady said we could leave our door open all night. I’m a single mom on vacation with 3 teens over 20 hours from home.
