Pleasant central spot on the river with comfortable rooms. The food is disappointing and dows not match the marketing.
7.0Rooms were cosy and comfortable - location on the river was great and only a short walk to the centre
− The food. The cooked breakfast was very poor though the presentation was good. Dried out bacon, rock hard poached eggs despite having ordered soft eggs. The mushroom was dry and without any seasoning or character - frankly inedible. The hash browns much too oily. The continental breakfast in contrast was good. Staff looked overstrained / exhausted. Not happy. The fish and chips the evening before was nothing special extremely oily and made us all feel sick .
Lovely people at reception and nice layout with a big outdoor area. I would come back.
8.0Lovely little place on the river and a 10 minute walk to town. Very popular with tourists and locals. Nice pub and outside seating area with good food and fast service.
− My cousin had a ground floor room, so great, however mine was second floor with no lift. Fine if you are a youngster. The ground floor room was huge!

8.0Great location and Lovely rooms. Breakfast was very good.
− Some of the staff’s attitude towards guests was not very accommodating. The fellow who booked us in was great but a few of the others were quite rude with simple requests such as a change of breakfast table ( we were placed up against the large flat screen tv and my husband had a bad headache so it was very uncomfortable). Would be great if there was room service for meals. Our room was very noisy as we were above the beer garden. Given the price of the rooms I would expect better noise proofing or for this to be a cheaper room.
