A great option with some downsides

This place was very clean and our room was great. Customer service was very polite and helpful.

− The things we didn’t really enjoy about this hotel was despite other hotels around us having their pools open, ours did not. Not even the indoor pools. Also we got a side view of the ocean which would have been fine… if it was not blocked by huge orange cranes and construction. This place also does not offer free breakfast, check out is early @10am and the line to unload/reload your car is a complete mess. People will just park there cars there and leave them, holding up the whole line.

The overall stay was great. The family enjoyed.

The property was very convenient. Everything we needed was close by and we enjoyed our stay. The three bedrooms plus pull out sofa accommodated the entire group.

− The 24th floor was very high. I didn’t want the kids on the balcony. The elevator wait was extreme at times also.

We’ve been HGVC owners since 1996, and this was our first trip to Myrtle Beach to stay in one of the properties there. Ocean 22 didn’t disappoint. The place is top notch from the bell and valet staff to the check in/out process. A special shout out to valet, quick and courteous and quick with a friendly greeting. The property was clean from the elevators to the rooms. The rooms were updated and kept in great condition. The location very convenient to the local boardwalk. There’s plenty of walking places from the resort. The pool area was kept clean and safe. There’s always fully stocked towels. The only thing I’d change is have more ice machines located on various floors. One ice machine on the first floor isn’t enough. We can wait to return!

Spotlessly Clean with Amazing Staff, But the Elevators Were a Nightmare

Our stay at Ocean 22 was a mix of great experiences and some frustrating ones. The positives first: the resort was clean, clean, clean! Housekeeping did an amazing job, and the customer service was A-1 from everyone we encountered. The valet team was especially top-notch—they were friendly, efficient, and made coming and going easy. The reason I couldn’t give this resort 5 stars is the elevator situation. It was honestly ridiculous. We purposely checked in around 6:00 p.m. thinking we’d avoid the 4:00 p.m. check-in rush, but we still waited 30 minutes just to get an elevator to our room because only 3 elevators were working. There was also no circulating A/C in the hallways or elevators, making the wait even more uncomfortable. Checkout day wasn’t any better. We waited 28 minutes just to get on an elevator to leave, then spent another 12 minutes riding all the way to the top floor before stopping on nearly every floor on the way back down. The elevator was packed to capacity the entire time, again with no air conditioning. By the time we reached the lobby, we were sweating through our shirts, making the showers we had taken before leaving feel completely pointless. Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean property with excellent staff, but the elevator issues significantly impacted our experience. Suggestions for improvement: * Add a full-service restaurant on-site. * Improve air conditioning in the hallways and elevators. * Increase elevator capacity or improve elevator availability, especially during peak check-in and checkout times.

Overall it was very beautiful and peaceful ! The staff was nice and i would stay there again
