8.0It’s a lovely motel right by the beach. Staff are friendly, the pool area and fire pits are great. I can’t really fault it other than the size of the rooms which are a little small, but then it is a motel. Definitely a great option for Montauk.

10.0I don't normally write reviews, but we had such a good time on our recent stay at Daunt's that I thought it was only fitting that I share our great experience. As a family of four it can get quite expensive to stay in Montauk for a week. We chose Daunt's for it's location and for the kitchenette. We made most breakfast and lunches either in the room or at the poolside grill, which is in excellent condition. This saved us a ton of money and also kept us by the pool, which is where we wanted to be. The staff are incredibly friendly and always available. The motel and the restaurant across the street, Bird on the Roof, seem to be owned by the same people. They gave us a $20 coupon to dine there for breakfast and I will say it's one of the better breakfasts I've had in Montauk. Pool was fantastic. While we take a trip to the "beach" every year, we tend to stay by the pool and we were not disappointed. Everything was clean and well maintained. At night, they have two fire pits where they burn real wood, the smell is really amazing. We used the pits for s'mores an two occasions. I've stayed in quite a few places across Montauk, from the Beach House, Guerney's, Kenny's to a few others as well. This ranks at my top due to it's renovated rooms, nice kitchenettes, great pool, nice grill, and laid back atmosphere. and of course, it's great location. Beds are full size so if you're used to sharing a king with your significant other, you'll have some adjusting to do. but well worth it in the end.

10.0Super friendly staff, 1.5 blocks to ocean beach and 1 black from shops and food. A much more quant chill beach town.
