9.0The hotel is convenient, clean and has all you need. The amenities for kids made it a fun place for families. The beach bar is great.
Just ok
6.0We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because we were attending DMB concerts at the BNH Pavillion. For that purpose, the location is great. However, I would not call this a "resort." The rooms are extremely outdated. The wifi is terrible; you have to log back in constantly, and sometimes it does not work. I would not swim in the lake water, but I don't like lakes, so that's not their fault; the pool was fine, but the pool chairs are cheap plastic. In the room, the hotel is stocked with cheap plastic cups and a plastic ice bucket (I don't know if I've ever ever seen one of those before!). Neither the not cups nor the cold cups were replenished after our first night, and the coffee also was not replenished. The tissues in the room were the worst quality ever, and there was no extra box. The soap was "regular" bar soap with no soap dish. The towels are smallish, even the "beach" towels (explaining why many people brought their own), and they were not replenished. Yes, you could go to the front desk and ask for more, but why should you have to do that? There was only one lock on the room door, which we found odd; at least there was an exterior lock to the building. The staff at breakfast and the pool bar, however, were hard working and attentive. The breakfast was good and hot (great pastry!) and the pool bar food was pretty good. The "well" drinks were wattery, but when I ordered a (more expensive) patron drink, it was much better. Our server repeatedly apologized for the slow kitchen, but we told him not to worry about that, we were there to relax. The room and the hotel itself seemed clean. We did not encounter any noise issues. The common areas in the main hotel building were charming, though we didn't really use them except at breakfast. Would I recommend? If you have low expectations, you get a good price and you want to be near the BNH Pavilion, then maybe. Otherwise, no. Oh--they charge you if you want a guarantee your room will be ready by 3; otherwise it's "after 4!" What does that even mean--could it be 11? Our room was not ready so we had to finish check in after the concert. Not ideal. Beware.
Other than the issues listed above we had a great time!
8.0Beach, Beach Restaurant, food was great, and location near Lake Winnipesaukee and Meredith, NH was very convenient
− The showers really need to have grab bars installed in them, and also more counterspace in the bathrooms would be much appreciated. I wish you had more regular chairs on the beach for the older people because it was very hard for some of my older relatives to get up off the lounge chairs.
