Peaceful but remote

The staff were friendly and attentive, the view was amazing, it was peaceful, the breakfasts were excellent.

− The bar and spa cost a bit more than what you would pay in town, and there weren't many other options around.

Almost Perfect, Except for the Shuttle Experience

The beautiful setting, the comfortable room, the excellent pool, the peaceful atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff.

− We had a very pleasant stay at Puri Sebali Resort. The staff were friendly, the rooms were excellent, and overall we really enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by the way the complimentary shuttle service to Ubud was handled. Due to heavy traffic, the driver suggested a slightly later pick-up time, but never informed us that this would result in an additional charge. In the end, we only used the shuttle around 10 minutes later than the original scheduled time, yet we were surprised to find approximately IDR 200,000 added to our bill at checkout. The issue is not the amount of money, but the lack of transparency. Had we been informed in advance that even a 10-minute delay would incur an extra charge, we could have decided whether or not to accept it. We even tipped the driver because we believed he was simply accommodating the traffic situation. After contacting the hotel, they acknowledged that the additional charge should have been communicated more clearly, but they have not offered a refund. It is a pity because this was the only negative aspect of an otherwise excellent stay. I hope the hotel improves its communication, avoids hidden charges, and ensures that future guests are treated transparently and do not experience the same misleading situation.

Traumhafter Blick, Essen etwas hochpreisig aber sehr gut. Schön, dass es einen Shuttle nach Ubud gab ( mit dem Fahrer hatten wir dann auch eine private Tour gemacht, das war fantastisch)! Wir hatten die Lotus Ponds Suite gebucht und ein Upgrade auf eine Garden view Villa mit Pool bekommen, Danke dafür 🙏 Alle waren super freundlich und die Massage war auch mega!

− Wir hatten über das Hotel die Jeep Sonnenaufgangstour zum Batur gebucht, leider ist dieser Veranstalter (BST) nicht zu empfehlen. Teuer, alter Jeep (ging ständig aus) auf der Rückfahrt viele Umwege und dadurch ewig gedauert - das hat zwar nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun, aber ich empfehle, dass sie diesen Veranstalter nicht mehr vermitteln.
