− There were times when the electronic key wasn't working properly.

9.0I like the pleasant gentleman that runs the establishment. I like the historical significance of Tucumcari.
− The thing I don't like is that I-40 directed traffic away from a cool town that depended on tourism to prosper.
Historic Route 66 Hotel is a good basic place to sleep for a night
7.0Tri-Star Inn is a good value hotel. It is easy in and off I 40 and very quiet place to sleep all night. We had a basic room with two queen beds that were comfortable. The heat worked great.
− Probably built in the 50s the property really shows its age. If there was Wi-Fi, we did not know the password. No cable TV just something off of an antenna.
I felt safe and comfortable.

− All electric outlets were behind the heavy furniture. Not all outlets worked. Shower did not feel safe.

7.0The owner was very nice, and the room was pretty spacious. Bathroom was very clean.
− It's not the fault of the establishment, but ours was the only car in the lot, so we suspect we were the only ones there. The lot was very dark and it was kind of unnerving. I'm glad I was not on a solo trip this time. The fridge was unplugged and therefore not cold, and the wifi was very slow and went out a few times.

When traveling with pets, please note that the property charge $20 per pet, per night. For now as our pool is being repaired, we don't know how long it will take. We will inform you once repairs are complete and pool is operational.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in.
