Horrible, nasty and disgusting, go somewhere else and don't look back

One of the nastiest places we have ever stayed. Our room reeked of dog poop and vomit. We stayed here about 20 years ago and it was great. We had to put the rug underneath the bed so we would not smell as strong. Went to complain, but the office was closed by 9:00 pm and didn't open until 9:00 am the next morning. We didn't get back to our room until the office was closed. We got to the motel to pick up or key and then went to eat. We were told we woudl have a room facing the ocean, no we got a corner room were you could not sit and watch the sunset. The room was not even even and the bed was sideways to the wall and the floor was uneven. WE were told it had just been remodeled. Apparently all remodeling was done in the dark since nothing was measured correctly. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but there were cigarette burns on the comforter which was thin and ragged. If we could have found another vacancy anywhere in the small town we woudl have left. Plus the cost was $180.00 per night for this nightmare dump. We wrote a letter when arrived home but they refused to even acknowledge any correspondence. There is a much nicer place next door, wished we had know it had been built. Advice warning stay there instead of Silver Sands!! A dump of all dumps! We should have thought something was not right when we picked up our key and neither person in the office knew what to do. They even fussed between themselves. Don't let the pictures they have on the website fool you.

Very worn out property. Found a dead bug when I pulled down the sheets. Shower had significant grout mold. 2 night minimum stay and cancellation policy weren't clesr when I booked last minute. Checked out 1 day less than reserved. Was charged for the night we did not stay. Desk staff was inflexible on their policy. Worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Room was pretty clean, carpet should be replaced by flooring, beach view was nice and hotel is convenient for walking the town.

Ocean view from our room with 2 queen beds and kitchenette was awesome. Took great pictures of the Arch Rock and high tide. Lady at front desk did not leave good first impression with all her rules but at checkout she was cordial. The grounds were dirty but the room was updated. It's an older Motel. Good stay for the money.

The Lady at check in was great!!!! The two amenities that I wanted and chose on my trip was a Kitchenette and Balcony and what turned out was a Kitchenette with very old (at least 20 years) skillets that couldn't be cleaned. There was NO Balcony and what they were referring to was the Corridor out front that everyone used to get to their rooms. The ceiling fan was full of dirt/dust (would love to attach a picture). Not impressed.

Good stay, steps from the beach. Had a ocean side room that was very nice. Bed was a little lumpy. Upon check out on Oct 5, I was going to grab some coffee in the lobby (a coffee machine is in the lobby) I was told by the woman at the desk "there's no coffee, I just got in and I don't want to make any" . Overall the property was nice, good value for a beachside hotel.
