Great location, old motel rooms
8.0Old motel style rooms. Price is reasonable for Grand Marais. Plumbing and AC were good. Bedding was old but still reasonably comfortable.

4.0I was not aware we would be in a room with NO air condition! Also the walls are so thin you can hear every word spoken in the rooms next to you, which means they can hear you as well. There are quite a few hotels/motels in the Spruceglen Inn listing. When a person gets the confirm email for their stay, It would be VERY helpful if the physical address to the place they are staying was linked to google maps.

8.0Keep in mind that you are in Grand Marais, not Manhattan nor downtown Chicago. Grand Marais has motels or lodging. This one has what you should expect from a motel: a clean bathroom, access to hot tub and pool, grab and go breakfast and walking distance to restaurants and bars. It's the lowest priced motel in town; take advantage of their amenities to get your money's worth.
