3.0Hotel and rooms are pretty good and clean. Staff is friendly and always trying to help.
− I arranged airport transportation at the hotel reception and deal was 5000 BDT for 2 cars to transport 9 people to the airport. When negotiating for the price the guy at the reception told me usual price is 1000 BDT per person, but because we are special guest who booked 9 rooms he would give us special discount and have to pay only 5000, instead of 9000. During our talk I mutiple times confirmed that the price we are talking about is total price for 2 cars and 9 people, which he agreed. During our conversation he was also typing numbers in the calculator and showing me numbers to confirm (usual price 9000, and for us 5000). When transport came there was other guy at reception and he was insisting that price is 5000 per car and that we have to pay 10000 total (even more than first price with no discount). After 10 minutes of talking they were not giving up so I had to pay because otherwise I would be late for the airport. It is very sad to be scamed like this, because everything else in the property including the staff seemed pretty good. Note: usual Uber car cost 250 BDT for same transport and Uber van (8 ppl) is 600 BDT.
Comfortable stay and perfect food for Europeans :)
10.0My partner and I come from Germany and we did a trip through Bangladesh this year. While staying in Dhaka I have to say that Lakeshore Suites was the hotel, where I felt most comfortable. The people were absolutely nice. So welcoming, so helpful. The food was always freshly cooked and soooo good. Even for our weak european stomachs. ;-) We also tried out another famous hotel in Gulshan 1, but if I could choose again I would go for Lakeshore Suites. The price-performance ratio is better. :-)
