A Nightmare Experience: Discrimination, Assault, and Zero Accountability
2.0My stay at the Roman Spa was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. During our stay, my husband and I were subjected to blatant discrimination. Another guest physically grabbed me twice because he objected to me speaking to white people he didn’t know. He also found it amusing to repeatedly target my husband by calling him Carlos. Despite this Not being his name. To make matters worst, management and staff provided zero consequences for his behavior. The next morning, feeling unsafe and shaken, I requested To speak with a manager. Instead of receiving support or empathy after being assaulted on their property, I was met with rude staff who refused to offer a refund. I am still fighting to get a refund for a portion of our stay. Nobody should have to pay for an experience where they were attacked and discriminated against. This was a disgusting, unacceptable experience. Avoid this place.
Great hotel/spa for getaways!
10.0We love this quaint hotel/spa. My girlfriend group goes every year! Beautiful landscaping, lovely warm pools, side by side rooms with lots of patio space for gatherings. We usually get one kitchenette room but also a very short walk to the Main Street for restaurants and shopping. Great value!
Annual Calistoga Girls Trip
8.0What we love about Roman Spa: 1) the Pools, 2) the Gardens, 3) rooms with Kitchens, 4) the Spa. The resort has made several improvements over time which is really nice. We have been coming to this resort for several years.
A Little Slice of Heaven
10.0Roman Spa and Hot Springs is a little slice of heaven. For me, this place is perfect - comfortable, clean room, beautifully manicured grounds and that great pool. The pool defies description. It's so clean and warm and no chlorine smell; it's so relaxing and restorative, you don't want to get out. We have visited for several years on Mothers' Day and are already looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent stay in Calistoga
10.0Excellent property. The hot springs pool were lovely. Everything was so clean and well looked after. The restaurants and shops were very close. Good location if you don't have a car.
