Paradise just outside of Pemba
10.0A breath of fresh air after a less than eventful trip to Ibo. I booked a night at Ulala to be close to the airport for my flight. After arriving I was truly disappointed that I only booked one night. From arrival to departure everything at Ulala was fabulous. When you arrive at the property you can hear and feel the ocean breeze and its exactly what I was looking for. Due to no receiving the email the property sent regarding our arrival the manager was not on site when we arrived but the staff who were there checked us in quickly and offered a nice welcome drink which was definitely needed after the ride from Ibo. We were starving when we arrived and wasn't aware of needing to order a lunch in advance but the property whipped up what is probably the best vegetable quiche I've ever had. It actually tasted even better than it looked which had me drooling as soon as it was placed on the table. I wanted to snap a photo because it looked so pretty but in my haste to taste I forgot to capture a picture. The manager for the property arrived fairly quickly and he to was just as amazing as the other staff. From lunch, to our room, to dinner, then breakfast everything just got better and better. If you are looking for a relaxing place with great food, great beach, great beds, and great staff, while in Pemba, Ulala is definitely the place to be. I look forward to visiting again.

8.0Ulala is perfect for retreating along the beautiful coast of Pemba. The beach is breathtaking, unspoilt, private and safe. George and his team ensured our stay was very comfortable. We highly recommend the excellent food and caipirinhas!
