It was in a convenient location, and the bed was comfortable

− We had ants around the head of the bed we expected a few creatures with it being a tropical island but not an ants nest in the plug socket by the head if the bed. The air-conditioning was also quite bad, it didnt cool the room down unfortunately.

Location is very relaxed and quiet.

− Firstly, I just want to make it clear that this review is aimed solely at solo travellers who are single, middle aged men. Please understand that families will no doubt have a great time at this property. I was in communication with the host through the Booking app 24hrs before arrival. I let them know what time my flight was arriving and made it clear that I thought I might arrive a little later than the 1900hrs close of check in. This was met with total understanding at the time. I had to wait 1hr to pick up my luggage at the airport so was later than I could have been - I still managed to get to the property at 1915 though. Remi, the host, was waiting for me at the entrance and after introducing himself immediately tells me that he should really charge me an extra 1000bht (around £21) for me arriving late. This was the first mention of any extra charge even though I had made him aware that I could have been outwith check-in times 24hrs prior. He goes on to tell me as long as I 'follow the rules' he will, oh so gracefully, not charge me. I very quickly formed an opinion that he was drunk/ had been drinking earlier - the smell on his breath was obvious and he didn't really seem 100% 'there'. He goes on to tell me that this is a quiet place, they don't put up with any trouble etc. I immediately felt like I, as a mid 30's 6ft1 bald male, had been profiled as a 'trouble maker'. Remi told me that he had to remove a customer earlier that day because the person had broken the rules by smoking something they should not have been and that they 'brought a lady back'. Bringing any acquaintance of any type to this property is against the rules. I had read the rules and understood this fact at the point of making the booking 3 or 4 weeks before even visiting the property - I tried to assure Remi that I would treat his home like mine, that I wouldn't break any of his rules and that he had nothing to worry about.

Serenity. Beautiful pool . Only 4 rooms . Fabulously helpful host

− Wi-Fi poor but my AIS sim gave me great service so not a problem . Room small but adequate .

The day I left.

− Miles from anywhere up a hill. No TV channels. Shower lukewarm at best. No hot water from the wash basin. No safe. No rubbish bin. Way over priced for the money.
