10.0Beautifully renovated historic home that welcomes you from the moment you drive in. The property is vast and the immediate grounds are very well maintained with many activities to interest all-pool, hiking trails, and croquet. The public spaces androoms are well put together while maintaining their historic integrity. Grab a crab cocktail at the in-house bar and have dinner in any of the well appointed dining spaces. A great place to stay before/after a visit to Monticello.

A wonderful place to collapse if you've spent the day diving deep into Monticello.
9.0The continental breakfast was amazing; we especially loved the granola parfait and the blueberry bead and scones.
− Heating in the cottages - the law office and Merriweather - was spotty. We couldn't figure out how to make the "splits" work. But we really loved the beds and showers - and the fact that we were in historic, well-preserved cozy places. We were just sorry to have to leave before we'd had a chance to explore the grounds - so gorgeous in early spring.
