Terrible management
1.0The morning receptionist was very kind and tried her best to help us.
− We tried calling the emergency number numerous times when we arrived to try and check in but got no response. We had to get another hotel for the night. Then in the morning, even though we have confirmations from Booking.com and a message from the property, we were not even in their system as having a reservation. Booking.com customer service tried calling management all morning but could not reach anyone either. Literally couldn't have had a worse experience. According to the other local hotel staff, Marina Motel got a new management team and our experience of not even being able to check in has become a common occurrence. So much so that local hotels have kept some rooms available because guests who booked Marina Motel end up looking for rooms elsewhere every week.

8.0That's it's close to everything, the pillows are super comfortable and the bed smelled clean and fresh.
− The bathroom smelled of humidity, it didn't have a plastic shower curtain, and the water was spilling out of the bathtub.
Location and Simple hotel
10.0This hotel is conveniently located near the train station and the Kenai Fjords Cruises. It’s also close to the Safeway grocery store and the bagel shop across the street. The front staff is very responsive, and the hotel offers basic amenities like free coffee and tea, water refills, and simple and cozy rooms. The location is the key selling point here.
Overall a very good option if you are travelling with a pet
8.0Right across the Glaicer tour company and close to Safeway and the only decent pet frindly hotel in Seward
− No hair dryer, ironboard or kettle in the room.
Disappointing experience at every level

− No staff available for check in, didn't answer phone, took hour + to get checked in. Room was in desperate need of repair, lights that didn't work, tv not on mount, bathroom was shockingly small, strange extra door in the bathroom, no idea to where or for what, but had lights on coming under door.
