Cute cozy place to stay on the water in Chatham
9.0The Hawthorne was a nice cozy spot to stay in Chatham right on the water. The rooms were cute, clean and comfortable. It had beautiful views of the water from the back deck and private beach access. The wild life here was really great! It was in walking distance to town for shopping and eating so that was really great! Over all we really liked the location and would stay again.
− The beach could have benefitted from some clean up. There were a lot of jellyfish in the sand every day. They also could improve the chairs and umbrellas. But the property was not busy while we were there so we did have use of some of those things.

10.0Wonderful location, location, location! Beach, sunsets, walks along beach and to the village. Relaxing vacation didn’t drive too much, a perfect get a way destination!

− Bathroom towel quality wasn’t great. Possibility to change some lightbulbs inside the room. Plugs and extension cords need updating.
The best place to stay in Chatham
10.0After 14 years, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Chatham. The Hawthorne is peaceful, close to town and has its own private beach. The staff keeps everything clean and is eager to help. Tim, the friendly manager this year, welcomed us as if he was welcoming us into his own home. I’ve written previous reviews, and all the excellent accolades still apply.

Like staying in my grandparents seaside cottage
10.0This is nostalgic old CAPE COD. It is not fancy just super clean, comfortable and directly on the beach. The staff was amazing and made me feel at home. I’m going to have business trips about every two weeks on the CAPE and the Hawthorne will definitely be one of my favorite abodes.
