8.0The Hotel overall, the staff, the quality of the food, the room, the pool, and of course, the rooftop sky bar, were great. The sunset view is amazing and you'll struggle to find a better view over the river in Mandalay. As far as value for money goes, I cannot fault the hotel at all, especially the wonderful staff!! The only (very minor) down side was the surrounding area; the dredging of the river over the road, the fish market down the street. Locals told me its not the safest area at night, or most aesthetically pleasing area... especially if you dont like fish! Having said that, that's a reality of Myanmar that we came to see, so we didn't mind. We took taxi's/tuk-tuks out to see the sights. The hotel itself is great, but be aware it's location may not be to everyone's taste.
