10.0have no complaints about my stay at the cypress moon inn, you cannot beat this place for the price. Location is beautiful, with a balcony that gives you a nice view of the sound side. Breakfast is some fruit and muffins, restocked each day. It's a light breakfast, perfect for starting your day. There's a Walmart nearby just in case you forget or need to pick up anything. Additionally the host Greg is delightful, could talk to him for hours. He built the house himself and did a very good job. He provides free bikes you can take down to the beach, as well as kayaks to use on the lake behind the house. Only complaint (if I had to complain) would be that there is no microwave, but for how nice the place is that didn't bother me.
Wonderful Choice
10.0Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly.
Beautiful property, great people
10.0Lovely retreat on the water. Close to town but tucked away from the traffic and chaos. Lots of wildlife and very kind and attentive innkeepers.

4.0We are seasoned outdoor campers (tents, outhouses) used to limited comforts in the woods. We were looking forward to a relaxed evening watching wildlife and the sunset. Those goals were met. There is limited space in the parking area making it difficult to maneuver. When arriving, there was no signage to indicate which building was the Inn and which was a private home. There was poison ivy along the parking area which we didn’t see until we were standing in it while unloading our vehicle. Linda was very friendly and personable. She took us to our room and showed us a tray on a table with 2 apples, 2 tangerines, 2 muffins in waxed paper, a small coffee maker and 2 packages of coffee. This was breakfast for the next day. The advertising stated there was a TV in each room. There was no TV. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s rest. In the morning, when getting the coffee ready, I pulled the glass carafe out to add water and it had old coffee in it (roughly a cup worth). There was a note on the tray that the creamer mini cups needed to be shaken thoroughly. I did this and the creamer instantly formed chunks, so we did not drink our coffee. The shower and towels were great. All in all, we found the advertising to be a bit misleading. We know this is a rustic, forested area but this verges on overgrown.

10.0We loved our stay at the unique and beautiful Cypress Moon Inn. The property is full of character and we especially enjoyed the owner’s appreciation of nature; there was a wonderful blending into the surroundings. Greg and Linda were gracious and attentive hosts- gave us space but were also willing to share history and stories full of personality with us. The antique furnishings in the Inn are beautiful and the building itself is a work of high craftsmanship. We would love to stay here again!
