The accommodations were charming with a cozy mountain theme and room amenities, including a hair dryer, toiletries, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, and a nice table and chairs. We selected the room with the shower (not jetted tub). It was easy to step into. There was no door between the bedroom area and the shower and sink (but there was a toilet closet. The bedroom was a little offset from the bathroom, so it worked. The porch was decorated with well-maintained flower displays. Breakfast was good (and included). They could provide other meals at a reasonable cost. There was always a table out with snacks and beverages. You couldn't quite walk to Mendenhall Glacier (but could see it well from the Mendenhall River nearby- see attached picture) or to town. The desk staff members (who were great) provided rideshare and taxi information. We used both forms of transportation, and they were reliable and reasonable (about $15 per trip). The inn recommended the Sandbar as a local eating place. It was easy to walk to and had excellent, fresh fried halibut! There was a grocery store that you could walk to and there was the ability to walk through streets and some short walking paths. You could also walk along the river for a short while. We were actually happy to be away from the downtown cruise terminals (but could access historic Juneau as desired). Gramdma's Feather Bed is closer to the airport (couldn't hear the airport) and provided a prompt airport shuttle. We would stay there again.

We spent three nights at Grandma's this past month. We have been to Juneau many times and absolutely love this hotel. It is neat, clean, and the service is beyond top shelf. Management has done a first class job assembling a first class team. I will do a shout out to Sesa who worked the front desk and also was there at breakfast. Don't forget to tip housekeeping as well as the breakfast staff. They work very hard and do an excellent job. This is a very small hotel....14 rooms and if it is not available for the dates you choose opt for the Country Lane Inn, a sister property that is located a few blocks away.

Grandma's Featherbed is the Best Near Juneau

If there were six stars, I would give it. Very close to airport so it is convenient for short stays. The family that manages the hotel are SO nice. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Big comfy beds, mini kitchen and huge baths. Great breakfasts and if wanted, dinner, they have specials every night. For early flights, grab and go breakfast. I really recommend Grandma's .

Best lodging facility in Juneau without a doubt. Very highly recommended!

Outstanding facility, staff and fresh cooked to order breakfast. Clean, quiet, easy parking, centrally located to airport and tourist attractions. Staff outstanding - an easy 10 plus. Actually, the best overnight facility we have ever stayed at.

Great Location and Comfortable Rooms

We stayed here for two nights on our way back home. The location is great, just one mile from the airport and five miles from Mendenhall Glacier. This is a B&B type of inn. The king room was a very nice size. The bed was comfortable and there were enough quilts and covers to stay warm. The bath and shower are ‘in the room’, which is a different setup than what we have seen before at other places. The room was very clean and up to date. We liked that the property is away from downtown and the cruise crowd. Our suggestions; add a small sofa chair and room darkening shades. In June, the room is fairly bright at night.
