Can’t beat it for old world charm, excellent value, and convenient location.
9.0It is very convenient and charming. It is also excellent value. The breakfast was very good. The staff are helpful. The 725 bus from Heathrow Airport stops right opposite. Cost: 3 pounds each way.
− It is a very old property with all the quirks including low beams, sloping floors, and windows that won’t open. However my tiny bathroom had recently been remodeled with state of the art fixtures. Much depends on the assigned room.
Character hotel, with some very old rooms - so moderate your expectations accordingly.
8.0The breakfast is good. The rooms are "character" rooms as would be expected in an old property.
− I was aware I was taking the cheapest room, so the bathroom being a bit basic was anticipated. The parking time in the car park could be more generous.
This overall is a great place to stay for one night.

− Could of done with a few more plug sockets(but I do appreciate it's old building) Shower screen could of done with a clean Bed was uncomfortable
Comfortable, welcoming and historical.
10.0Friendly, efficient staff, wonderful building, and all round excellent. We drank in the bar with friends who joined us for the evening and the ambience was superb, and the bar itself comfortable. Breakfast was generous (actually much better than the photographs on their own website - which is very odd) and freshly cooked, not - as so often - pre-cooked and kept warmer under a heat lamp. The room was comfortable and spacious (and yay! used a key not a card!) witha very comfortable bed. Nicely positioned 5 minutes from teh City Centre and 2 minutes from the Cathedral Nice historical connection with the last Jacobite Rebellion as well.
