The sleep, which was the main purpose of my booking was really bad.
7.0The location was really convinient, I can travel to the beach and mountain in Tauranga in close proximity.
− I arrived on a Friday. There was a lot of clubbing and partying going across the street and the noise canceling is non-existent. I couldn't get enough sleep. In addition to that, the bed was really uncomfortable. For the price, I thought my expectation was already pretty low, but the bed is uneven to sleep on.

4.0The location is great. Close to the action of the Mount and the beautiful beach is within walking distance.
− I think there needs to be a screen or closer check on people staying here. The backpackers were awesome as always doing their fun thing. However the stay raised safety concerns for me with one older American (claimed Kiwi) guy who clearly had something going on-mental health wise or schizophrenia. His behaviour was so concerning and he should have been removed. Eventually his own family? orchestrated his removal and the police and ambulance was involved. I felt quite unsafe and wanted to leave but a security officer was to arrive at 10pm.

7.0The reception staff person was amazing. I loved being allocated a bottom bunk thankyou. It was a midweek night and I was the other 3 beds were empty
− The door was difficult to open. Some loud early morning departure of one or two travellers at 4.30am could have been more considerate.
