What a beautiful place to stay. From the moment I arrived at Lochinvar House, I felt a sense of peace and tranquillity. The open spaces surrounding the property create the perfect environment to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. The historic home itself is absolutely stunning, full of character, charm, and history. Every detail reflects the care and love that has gone into preserving this beautiful property. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made my stay truly special. Their hospitality was exceptional, and the breakfast they served each morning was absolutely delicious – fresh, generous, and the perfect way to start the day. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings, wonderful hosts, and a unique historic atmosphere, I highly recommend Lochinvar House. It was a memorable experience, and I look forward to returning.

Beautiful historic property in a fantastic location. The house was very clean, well maintained, and full of character. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, especially with our children, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The gardens and surroundings were peaceful and relaxing, and we really appreciated the unique charm of the property.

− The only minor issue was that the lounge room sofas were quite old and very soft, so we tended to sink into them. The house was also a little cold at times, but overall it did not affect our enjoyment of the stay.

The breakfast was great. The house was beautiful in a stunning location. The caretakers were super friendly. The historic character and beautiful location just made the stay feel so much more a holiday, than a standard motel/hotel would.

− The entry to the driveway is from a 90 km/h zone, so arriving in the dark, once i saw the sign it was too late to slow down and turn, so had to do a couple of u turns to get there.

Sasha made us feel very welcome and cooked us a lovely breakfast we hope to stay next time we are in the Hunter Valley.

My husband and I love historical houses and Lochinvar ticked all the boxes. We were lucky to have the room with the four poster bed. Beautiful house.

Convenient location, a little tired

Lovely old house, just a bit tired, and real easy things to make better were missed (no tips on pool cues, soap holder in shower was missing, signage to the property)

Everything about it, the building the property, the fact that it had a games room and a pool was a real bonus
