Disappointed with Advertised accommodation.
7.0The Spa was nice. The location was good.
− The advertised balcony did not exist, so that was false advertising. The "Continental" breakfast consisted of the standard type items you would find in any reasonable Motel. None of the included breakfast was prepared, and there were no pastries as a continental breakfast should include. On one occasion my partner was not feeling well and we returned to the room late afternoon. We could not get in because our key would not open the main door to enter the house. When I tried to get in touch with our hosts, the phone didn't answer, and I was told I could not leave any voice mail. I texted the host and coincidently they arrived there a short time afterwards. I was asked by one of the hosts, if I tried going through the back door - being a private residence I didn't think that would have been appropriate, and we were not told about any other access anyway. Then the host said "This never happens, but I should change the batteries..." The facilities in the room should include a microwave and a kitchenette, as there was nowhere to cook or prepare food. The so called communal area, was merely the host's loungeroom, not a bespoke area for paying guests. The claim of five star and luxury was a little far fetched. I feel we paid far too much for the standard and size of the accommodation.
