Enjoy the solitude and character of Priory Resort
8.0My family stayed at the Priory Resort Hotel in Dongara/ Port Denison and we loved it! It is an old place and has character. The early settlers built it as a pub, then it was a Catholic Girls College and Nunnery, and now it is used for travellers. We enjoyed sitting on the wide wooden verandahs, having breakfast or a cup of tea/ coffee and basking in the warm winter sun. The wife and kids didn't want to leave and are keen to return someday!
Dongara Priory!!
8.0Trip was a good one but the direction on their map was not good since the main point of direction to the road turn off was nonexistent. The hotel is very run down and needs lots of TLC.

8.0Hotellet byggdes 1881, blev en klosterskola, och har nu blivit hotell igen. Det har renoverats i den gamla stilen, men en del återstår att göra. Det finns både vandrarhemsrum och hotellrum, vårt rum var ett hotellrum med högt i tak och med toa/dusch på rummet, men tyvärr lyhört. I den angränsande byggnaden finns en pub som även serverar god mat till rimliga priser. Sammanfattningsvis ett mysigt gammalt hotell, men med vissa brister.
